Plagne - Champagny en Vanoise Resort
Resolutely authentic, the ski resort of Champagny en Vanoise, set at an altitude of 1250 metres in the Tarentaise valley, has retained the charm of a Savoyard mountain village, clustered around its 17th-century baroque church, which offers a host of shops and services (boutiques, ski hire shop, restaurants...). A few kilometres away, the Champigny le Haut valley is listed as one of France's Natural Sites and Monuments, and is the most beautiful gateway to the Vanoise National Park. It is home to the Nordic site and a wide range of activities (cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing and walking trails, ice climbing, etc.). The ski area combines the authenticity of an unspoilt village with the dynamism of a major ski area, thanks to its proximity to the renowned district of Plagne Centre, the family-friendly resort of La Plagne Village, the traditional village of Plagne Soleil or the typical destination of Belle Plagne.
