The Alpe d'Huez ski area is one of the largest in Europe, with 133 marked runs spread over some 250 km and 2,200 metres of vertical drop, and an exceptional panorama! The high altitude of the area means that there's guaranteed snow, with 84 ski lifts and around 900 snow cannons ensuring that you can ski all the way back to the resort. In the mood for snow? The Alpe d'Huez ski area has something for everyone, whatever your level: experienced skiers can ski down the famous Sarenne, a 10.6 km black run stretching from an altitude of 3,300 metres to 1,500 metres. Beginners can improve their technique on the gentle slopes at the bottom of the resort. There are also a number of fun areas for fans of new sports, including 2 snowparks (1 for beginners and 1 for experts) and a toboggan run. High mountain off-piste itineraries await freeride enthusiasts, conditions permitting.
