Bardonecchia Resort

ski resort Bardonecchia

A traditional village in the Susa Valley, Bardonecchia lies in a valley perched at an altitude of 1300 metres. The resort enjoys plenty of sunshine and its slopes climb to 2800 metres, offering exceptional panoramic views. The ski resort of Bardonecchia has been welcoming winter sports enthusiasts for over a century, but it was not until the 2006 Turin Olympic Games that the resort and the beauty of its ski area were revealed to the world. On that occasion, Bardonecchia hosted the snowboarding events. A picturesque little village, Bardonecchia is suitable for families, thanks to its facilities and adapted equipment to be found in our ski hire shop, but is also suitable for a festive stay with friends thanks to a great entertainment offer between cinemas, bars and discos.

A flagship winter sports resort in Piedmont, not far from the French border, Bardonecchia is a mecca for downhill skiing and snowboarding in Italy. With your ski pass, you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of runs, from winding forest trails to wide slopes at over 2,400 metres. The most famous area of the Bardonecchia ski area, however, is the snowpark. Dozens of rails and jump modules for all levels are available here. At 130 metres long, 18 metres wide and 6 metres high, the Olympic half-pipe is reserved for expert freestylers. Cross-country skiing also has its place at Bardonecchia, with 4 loops in the Pian del Colle area.

Although downhill skiing and snowboarding are Bardonecchia's flagship disciplines, there are plenty of other activities on offer. Snowshoe outings, groomer rides or ice skating: original or classic, there's no shortage of options! Indoor tennis courts, a municipal swimming pool, a sauna and a gym mean that sports enthusiasts can put together a made-to-measure programme. A visit to the resort's tourist office will tell you all about the cultural programme and events that will punctuate the season at the cinema or the Palais des Fêtes.
