Plagne Soleil Resort
Perched at an altitude of 2050 metres on the northern slopes of the Vanoise massif, La Plagne Soleil is the highest sector of the famous Tarentaise valley resort. Whether you're a family, a couple or a group of friends, La Plagne Soleil is a ski resort that will delight skiers and snowboarders of all ages. Created in 1990, it is the most recent of the 11 village resorts dotted around the La Plagne ski area. The architecture is based on traditional codes, so the La Plagne Soleil ski resort blends in perfectly with its mountain surroundings.
Families will particularly appreciate renting in this "ski-in/ski-out" area, which has a completely pedestrianised centre. Skiing in Plagne Soleil
With free shuttle buses running between 8am and midnight to all areas of the resort, staying at La Plagne Soleil means you'll have plenty of options to liven up your holiday. Snowshoeing, biathlon, dog sledding or ice skating: all the classic mountain activities will be on offer. You'll also have the chance to take to the skies on France's only bobsleigh run. Once the ski area is closed, you can relax at the spa, enjoy an aperitif in one of the bars, or go to an escape game or cinema. Finally, throughout the season, a host of sporting events will be staging in the resort.
Activities in Plagne Soleil
Once you've collected your ski hire, discover La Plagne Soleil, nestling at an altitude of 2050 metres at the centre of the resort's ski area. It has no fewer than 128 runs for all levels and a snowpark with around twenty modules in the Belle-Plagne area. The Petit Park is for beginners and the Gros Park for freestyle experts.
For cross-country skiing, head to the Nordic area of Champigny-le-Haut and its 23 kilometres of runs, the 20 kilometres of Plagne Montalbert or the 16 kilometres of Montchavin. You can also take advantage of your visit to La Plagne Soleil to opt for the Paradiski ski pass. By taking the Vanoise Express cable car, you can access the Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry ski area and a further 200 kilometres of pistes to explore.
