The Sestrière ski resort has been one of Italy's best-known since the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin. The resort has 200 kilometres of downhill ski runs, of varying levels so that they are accessible to all skiers. With an altitude of 2,840 metres and an Olympic village, the resort is well known. Skiing in Sestrière
The Sestrière ski area is renowned the world over, having hosted the 2006 Turin Olympics, the 1997 Alpine World Ski Championships and several rounds of the Alpine World Cup. With the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski pass, you can cover 400 kilometres of runs at altitudes of up to 2,840 metres. With 96 kilometres of blue runs, 220 kilometres of red runs and 84 kilometres of black runs, the ski area has something for everyone. Cross-country skiers can take advantage of their ski pass to reach the Pragelato Olympic site. As for freestyle, with three snowparks, including one 300 metres long on the Sestrière ski area, you'll have plenty to improve your jumps and tricks.
Activities in Sestrière
Sestrière is particularly renowned for its varied après-ski entertainment. "Aperitivo for two, dinner with the family or a night out with friends on the dance floor of one of the resort's bars: it's all possible! During the day too, Sestrière offers a wide range of activities. Snowshoe trekking, Nordic walking, dog sledding and ice skating are just some of the alternatives to skiing on offer.
