Skiing in Madonna di Campiglio
Whatever your level of skiing, the Madonna di Campiglio ski area has something for everyone. So once you've collected your ski hire, discover the 56 kilometres of descents: 27 kilometres are devoted to blue runs, 23 kilometres to reds and 6 kilometres to black runs. The most famous (and also the most technical) is the 3-Tre piste, where the World Cup events are held. More experienced skiers and snowboarders can also test themselves on the 2.4km Spinale Direttissima and the 70% gradient of its final wall, named after Michael Schumacher. If you find the slopes too easy, head for the resort's snowpark, which has plenty of freestyle modules. Finally, if the 41 pistes of the Madonna di Campiglio ski area aren't enough for you, consider the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello-Brenta ski pass, which totals 380 kilometres of pistes, 340 of which are covered by snow cannons.
