Chaillol Resort
A family ski resort situated between 1600 metres and 2000 metres above sea level, Chaillol dominates the Champsaur valley. Located in the Hautes-Alpes, the resort offers plenty of activities for all ages, with activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoe walks and snake gliss. The village resort of Chaillol, also nicknamed the "sun resort", offers all skiers south-facing slopes and sunny landscapes. The ski area is fairly family-friendly, with pistes accessible to all levels. There are green and blue runs for beginners and red runs for more experienced skiers. In the neighbouring resorts, which are within easy reach, there are plenty of cross-country ski trails to keep things varied.
Skiing in Chaillol
The 15 kilometres of pistes in the resort are ideal for beginners. The 3 green runs, as well as the 6 blue runs are perfect for starting out and learning the basics of skiing. There are also 4 red runs on the Chaillol resort for more experienced skiers. Once you've chosen your equipment in your ski hire shop, the resort's lifts will take you on 15 kilometres of skiing. For more experienced skiers, the Cognets and Abeil ski lifts take you up to the Lauzière sector, where you'll find the resort's longest blue and red runs.
Activities in Chaillol
Dominating the Champsaur valley in the Hautes-Alpes, the resort offers a host of activities including snake gliss, a ski touring track, snowshoeing and dog sledding. Cross-country skiing is also available in neighbouring villages. Very easily accessible, a 3-minute drive away, the 3 neighbouring Nordic areas of Haut Champsaur, Gap-Bayard and Valgaudemar, total 130 kilometres of groomed and trenched trails for cross-country skiing.
