Gérardmer Resort
On the shores of the lake that bears the same name, the Gérardmer ski resort welcomes you for a winter sports holiday in the heart of the Vosges. Perched at an altitude of 675 metres, Gérardmer is a family-friendly ski resort in the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park. From your rental car, once you've bought your ski equipment in our Gérardmer ski rental shop, you can easily get to the La Mauselaine ski area for downhill skiing or the Bas-Rupts ski area for cross-country skiing. Wherever you are, the slopes offer magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding pine-covered mountains and the lake below.
Skiing in Gérardmer
The Mauselaine ski area is very easy to get to thanks to the many free shuttles available to holidaymakers. Access to this ski area designed for downhill skiing is just a few minutes away. Pick up your ski hire and discover La Mauselaine and its 21 slopes spread out between 750 and 1150 metres altitude. The ski pass also gives you access to the snowpark, which is located towards the Le Cabri piste, and the boardercross course, which runs along the Le Sanglier vert. The beginners' stadium and play area are at La Petite Mauselaine. At Les Bas-Rupts, cross-country skiers (skating and alternating) have 30 kilometres of trails at their disposal. This Nordic site is also linked to Xonrupt and La Bresse. This brings the total number of cross-country ski trails to 100 kilometres.
Activities in Gérardmer
The most important event organised by the Gérardmer ski resort is its international fantasy film festival at the end of January. However, throughout the season, there are plenty of activities to enjoy off the slopes. Visit the resort's tourist office just a stone's throw from the lake to find out all about the opening times of the municipal swimming pool and ice rink, as well as special rates for families and holidaymakers. Visits to craft workshops, film evenings, photo exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts make up a varied cultural offer. During the school holidays, activities redouble with DJ nights, fireworks, challenges, family games and magic shows.
