Skiing in Bormio

ski Bormio

Bormio is a ski resort of excellence. Its 50-kilometre ski area has hosted the 1985 and 2005 Alpine World Ski Championships, as well as countless rounds of the Alpine World Cup. Your Bormio ski pass will open the doors to a demanding ski area that is particularly popular with experienced skiers. Once you've collected your ski hire, take advantage of the 34 kilometres of red runs and 2 kilometres of black runs, starting at an altitude of 3,012 metres and arriving at the resort at 1,225 metres. You can even take on the 4km Stelvio piste for the men's downhill runs. But Bormio is also a resort for beginners, with 14 kilometres of blue runs, and for freestylers. A number of freestyle champions have cut their teeth in Bormio, including Stefano Munai and Filippo Crudeli, so there's a 15,000 square metre snowpark for all levels of skier waiting for you in the ski area.

Activities in Bormio

activities Bormio

Before becoming the ski resort it is today, Bormio was renowned for the virtues of its thermal waters. So when you're in Bormio, be sure to take a relaxing break in its hot waters, which even the Romans praised. Your holiday in Bormio will also be an opportunity to discover the mountains in a different way, such as an introduction to cross-country skiing on the 10-kilometre loop of the ski area or a snowshoe hike in the forest. Ice skating, night skiing and international sporting competitions can also be added to your activities in the resort. You can find out more about the season's calendar at the Bormio Tourist Office.
