Our partner Head

The Head brand was created in Baltimore in 1950 by an aeronautical engineer, Howard Head. For three years, he looked for a way to lighten skis that were initially made of wood. He wanted to satisfy the need for speed felt by fans of the sport. His aim was to popularise the sport by revolutionising equipment, using the same technologies and raw materials as those used in aeronautics. Aluminium gave the skis greater robustness and better adaptation when cornering.

A firm favourite with amateur skiers, the brand has also won numerous international competitions, from the Olympic Games to the World Cup. It has been represented by champions such as Bode Miller, Lindse Vonn, Ted Ligety, Aksel Lund Svindal, Alexis Pinturault and Mathieu Faivre.

The company is now based in Austria, and for seventy decades Head has never stopped innovating, reinventing new devices and products. The brand remains committed to guaranteeing the safety and performance of snow sports enthusiasts, whether professionals or amateurs.

This year, HEAD has updated its image by changing the visual identity of its racing and performance ranges. The Speed Blue colour will be featured on the e-XSR model. Women will also have the chance to discover a completely revised JOY range, with new rib lines, new constructions and fresh new cosmetics, with lightness always the priority. Finally, what would skiing be without boots? The legendary EDGE range has also been revamped. Easy to put on, unrivalled comfort and a new walking aid, this is the boot for every skier!
